Departamento Académico de Recursos HídricosEsta investigación se enfoca en formular un modelo de gestión con WEAP para la evaluación la demanda actual y proyectada en los bloques Chilcaymarca, Chapacoco y Badén Huylluco, distrito de Chilcaymarca, provincia de Castilla, en la región de Arequipa. Se utilizó el modelo WEAP para evaluar dos escenarios: Situación actual y Con proyecto (demanda proyectada) que incorpora un embalse en la microcuenca del río Liuninsha. Entre los aspectos más destacados se encuentran los siguientes: En la situación actual, se identificaron déficits hídricos anuales específicos para dos bloques de riego: Chapacoco de 1,695.22 m³ y Chilcaymarca de 40,270.8 m³. Estos resultados refinan la comprensión del déficit hídrico, proporcionando información para orientar estrategias de gestión en cada área. La planificación de la ampliación de hectáreas cultivables consideró las licencias de agua existentes y las necesidades individuales de cada bloque. Como resultado, se registró un aumento de 419.96 hectáreas para Chilcaymarca, 162.93 hectáreas para Chapacoco y 462.12 hectáreas para Baden Huylluco. La propuesta hidráulica incluye un embalse denominado Santa Rosa, ubicado en la quebrada Liuninsha, concebido como una solución estratégica para almacenar agua del río Liuninsha. La gestión integral del embalse incorpora una bocatoma y un sistema de canalización hacia los bloques de riego Chilcaymarca y Chapacoco, regulando el flujo mediante válvulas. En conjunto, este estudio propone un enfoque integral para la gestión sostenible del agua en la agricultura, ofreciendo valiosos aportes para el desarrollo agrícola en la región de Arequipa.This research focuses on formulating a management model with WEAP for the evaluation of current and projected demand in the Chilcaymarca, Chapacoco, and Badén Huylluco blocks, in the Chilcaymarca district, Castilla province, in the Arequipa region. The WEAP model was used to evaluate two scenarios: the current situation and the projected demand scenario that incorporates a reservoir in the Liuninsha River micro-basin. In the current situation, specific annual water deficits were identified for two irrigation blocks: Chapacoco with 1,695.22 m³ and Chilcaymarca with 40,270.8 m³. These results refine the understanding of the water deficit, providing information to guide management strategies in each area. The planning for the expansion of cultivable hectares considered the existing water licenses and the individual needs of each block. As a result, an increase of 419.96 hectares for Chilcaymarca, 162.93 hectares for Chapacoco, and 462.12 hectares for Badén Huylluco was recorded. The hydraulic proposal includes a reservoir called Santa Rosa, located in the Liuninsha ravine, conceived as a strategic solution to store water from the Liuninsha River. The comprehensive management of the reservoir incorporates an intake and a canal system towards the Chilcaymarca and Chapacoco irrigation blocks, regulating the flow through valves.
