En este contexto la Asociación para la Investigación y Desarrollo Integral (AIDER) formuló e implementó el proyecto “Mitigación del cambio climático con negocios agroforestales sustentables inclusivos que contribuyan al desarrollo del “Buen Vivir” de los pueblos indígenas en la Amazonía peruana”. Este proyecto fue implementado en cuatro (4) comunidades nativas en Ucayali y Madre de Dios, sin embargo, el aporte profesional del autor se dio principalmente en la Comunidad Nativa de Yamino, que se encuentra ubicada en el distrito de Padre Abad en Ucayali. El propósito de este trabajo es analizar la implementación exitosa de parcelas agroforestales que beneficie a las familias de la comunidad para mejorar sus condiciones de vida. La participación del autor se dio a nivel de la caracterización e implementación del modelo de sistema agroforestal, criterios de selección de parcelas y proceso de capacitación a los miembros de las comunidades nativas en sistemas agroforestales. La metodología incluyó la participación directa de los miembros de la comunidad nativa en los procesos de análisis, diagnóstico, implementación y fortalecimiento de capacidades sobre la implementación de sistemas agroforestales con cacao y shihuahuaco. Se destaca que la propuesta se complementó con los conocimientos indígenas. En el trabajo en campo, se encontró que el principal problema para la implementación de la propuesta de parcelas agroforestales era el débil conocimiento técnico referente al manejo de los cultivos propuestos, realizándose el fortalecimiento de capacidades de los comuneros. Como resultado, 15 parcelas de sistema agroforestal con cacao y shihuahuaco fueron implementadas y ejecutadas con la participación de los miembros de la comunidad. Se capacitaron 89 personas, hombres y mujeres, que asumen la propuesta técnica para su réplica.In recent years, several projects have been developed with a focus on conservation, restoration, among others in native communities in Peru. The methodology involved direct participation of native community members in the analysis, diagnosis, implementation, and capacity building for agroforestry systems with cocoa and shihuahuaco, supplemented with indigenous knowledge. During the field work, it was found that the main problem for the implementation of the project was the weak technical knowledge regarding the management of the proposed crops, therefore capacity building of the community members was carried out. As a result, 15 agroforestry system plots with cocoa and shihuahuaco were implemented and executed with the participation of the community members.
