Maestría en Conservación de Recursos ForestalesEl proceso de categorización de la Zona Reservada Santiago Comaina (ZRSC) llevado a cabo entre 2002 y 2005, desarrolló un proceso de participación ciudadana con una aproximación intercultural que logró contar con el respaldo de las organizaciones indígenas del ámbito, pero que a pesar de haber generado los argumentos para la creación del Parque Nacional Ichigkat Muja Cordillera del Cóndor (PNIMCC), el cual fue creado posteriormente en el año 2007, la reducción y exclusión de áreas con alto valor de biodiversidad, en beneficio las concesiones mineras existentes, generaron controversias y cuestionamientos al Estado por parte de las poblaciones indígenas de las etnias awajún y wampís. Este proceso se caracterizó por haber implementado una estrategia de intervención que integró las demandas de ordenamiento territorial de los pueblos awajún-wampís y los compromisos del acuerdo de Paz entre el Perú y Ecuador, posteriores al conflicto bélico de 1995. El objetivo general del estudio fue analizar el proceso de categorización del establecimiento del Parque Nacional Ichigkat Muja Cordillera del Cóndor determinando los aspectos clave en su realización. La metodología utilizada fue un análisis descriptivo no experimental y transversal, caracterizada por determinar objetivamente los aspectos clave de este proceso. De los resultados obtenidos se concluye que los aspectos claves del proceso de categorización fueron: i. El establecimiento de acuerdos entre las federaciones indígenas y el equipo técnico, responsable de conducir el proceso de categorización; ii. La presencia del equipo técnico basado in situ; iii. La promoción del ordenamiento territorial de las comunidades nativas colindantes con la propuesta de parque Nacional (que incluyó la titulación de 2 comunidades y 17 ampliaciones); iv. El Trabajo coordinado entre el equipo técnico del proyecto y la jefatura de la ZRSC, dependencia de la IANP-INRENA; y finalmente, v. El proceso de información y comunicación intercultural dirigido a las familias de las comunidades de la ZRSC, a través de los promotores indígenas de conservación, quienes tuvieron un rol estratégico durante el proceso de categorización.The process of categorising the Santiago Comaina Reserved Zone (ZRSC) carried out between 2002 and 2005 developed a process of citizen participation with an intercultural approach that was supported by the indigenous organisations in the area, but despite having generated the arguments for the creation of the Ichigkat Muja Cordillera del Cóndor National Park (PNIMCC), which was subsequently created in 2007, the reduction and exclusion of areas with high biodiversity value for the benefit of existing mining concessions generated controversy and questions from the indigenous populations of the ethnic groups, which was subsequently created in 2007, the reduction and exclusion of areas with high biodiversity value, in favour of existing mining concessions, generated controversy and questions to the state by the indigenous populations of the awajún and wampís ethnic groups. The general objective of the study was to analyse the process of categorising the establishment of the Ichigkat Muja Cordillera del Cóndor National Park and to determine the key aspects of its implementation. The methodology used was a descriptive, non-experimental, cross sectional analysis, characterised by objectively determining the key aspects of this process. From the results obtained, it is concluded that the key aspects of the categorisation process were: i. The establishment of agreements between the indigenous federations and the technical team responsible for conducting the categorisation process; ii. The presence of the technical team based in situ; iii. The promotion of land management in the native communities adjacent to the proposed National Park (which included the titling of 2 communities and 17 extensions); iv.
