Para el trabajo de investigación se empleó dos tratamientos experimentales de fotoperiodos (T1: 12 horas luz natural y 12 horas luz artificial y T2: 24 horas luz artificial) y un tratamiento control (T3: luz natural). El T1 se cubrió con cortinas de polietileno trasparente y el T2 se cubrió con cortinas de polietileno negro. El material biológico usado fue 92860 alevines de trucha arcoíris, con un peso promedio de 3,0 – 3,5 gr, distribuidos de forma equitativa y completamente al azar en 9 estanques de concreto, tres estanques por tratamiento, con una densidad de 5,3 kg/m3. El experimento tuvo una duración de 68 días, dentro de los cuales diariamente se alimentaba de forma ad-libitum, extracción de mortalidad y medición de parámetros de calidad de agua y quincenalmente se realizaron los muestreos biométricos. A 30 días el T1 tuvo los mejores valores productivos: Ganancia de peso (GP)=5.53 g, Tasa específica de crecimiento (TEC)=3,23%, Peso final (PF)=8,91 g, Factor de crecimiento relativo (FCR)=0,73. Posterior a los 30 días el T2 tuvo los mejores resultados con excepción del PF. Después de los 68 días los alevinos de trucha arcoíris expuestos a fotoperiodos 12:12 (T1) y 24:00 (T2) fueron estadísticamente mejor que el grupo control (p<0,05). No hubo efectos significativos del fotoperiodo entre el T2 y grupo control (T3) en cuanto PF y FCRThis investigation evaluated the photoperiod effects on rainbow trout fingerlings growth (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in intensive crop. It was used two photoperiod treatments (T1: 12 hours within natural lights and 12 hours within artificial lights; T2: 24 hours of artificial lights) and the control treatment (T3: natural light). T1 was covert with transparent polyethylene curtains and T2 was covered with black polyethylene curtains. As biological material it was used 92860 rainbow trout fingerlings, average weight between 3,0-3,5 gr, distributed evenly and randomly on concrete ponds, three ponds for each treatment, using densities of 5,3 kg/m3. The experiment lasted 68 days, daily jobs were ad-libitum feeding, extraction of mortality and measurement of water quality parameters, fortnightly we took biometric samplings. Results at 30 days were: T1 had the best productive values (weight gain 5,53 gr, specific growth rate 3,23%, final weight 8,91 gr, conversion factor 0.73). After 30 days, T2 had the best results with the exception of final weight.
