El promedio anual de precipitación máxima es de 4200 mm, mínima de 1800 mm; 76% de humedad relativa; temperatura máxima anual de 22°C y temperatura mínima de 12°C. Este estudio, tuvo como objetivo elaborar una propuesta de manejo y control de malezas en siembra directa de arroz (Oryza sativa L.) en Alto Mayo. Como material genético se utilizó la semilla del cultivar HP 102 El Valor. Se estudiaron los herbicidas: butachlor y el Florpyrauxifen-benzyl, como alternativa para el manejo y control de malezas. Se realizaron todas las prácticas y labores agrícolas necesarias para el cultivo del arroz en su desarrollo, como: la preparación del terreno, control de malezas con herbicida pre y pos emergente, preparación de semilla, siembra, evaluación de malezas, fertilización temprana. La experiencia basada en el manejo y control de malezas en la siembra directa del arroz, el análisis de la problemática y el conocimiento para ofrecer una solución viable, contribuyó a desarrollar esta opción tecnológica, que aseguraría a los productores buenos rendimientos sean óptimos para las condiciones del Alto Mayo.The present work was carried out in the Alto Mayo valley, north west of the city of Tarapoto, in the Mayo river basin, high jungle, San Martín region. The annual average of maximum precipitation is 4200 mm, minimum 1800 mm; 76% relative humidity; maximum annual temperature of 22°C and minimum temperature of 12°C. The objective of this study was to develop a proposal for the management and control of weeds direct seeding of rice (Oryza sativa L.) in Alto Mayo. As genetic material, the seed of the cultivar HP 102 El Valor was produced. Herbicides were studied: butachlor and Florpyrauxifen-benzyl, as an alternative for the management and control of weeds. All the agricultural practices and tasks necessary for the cultivation of rice in its development were carried out, such as: land preparation, weed control with pre- and post-emergent herbicide, seed preparation, sowing, weed evaluation, early fertilization.
