Departamento Académico de Recursos HídricosLa presente investigación tuvo como finalidad evaluar las condiciones de disponibilidad y explotación del agua subterránea en el acuífero de Lurín, ubicado a 40 Km al sur de Lima. El acuífero de Lurín abarca los distritos de Lurín, Pachacamac, Cieneguilla y parte de Villa El Salvador, tiene una extensión aproximada de 8500 ha. Teniendo en cuenta que los propietarios de los pozos se han acogido al programa de formalización de licencia de uso de agua subterránea ante la Autoridad Local del Agua Chillón – Rímac – Lurín, se realizó la actualización del inventario de los pozos de terceros y de SEDAPAL. Esta información fue analizada y procesada para conocer el estado del acuífero, morfología, profundidad y fluctuaciones de la napa freática. Posteriormente, fueron analizadas las propiedades hidráulicas del acuífero. Hidráulicamente, el acuífero es libre y presenta de moderada a excelentes características hidráulicas para la explotación de aguas subterráneas. El acuífero de Lurín se ha dividido en cuatro zonas, por su geomorfología y para la mejor visualización de resultados. De las fluctuaciones del nivel freático, en los pozos de observación, para el periodo 1998 - 2013 se realizó el análisis de tendencia mediante el método estadístico de Mann Kendall; los resultados indican que el nivel freático en las zonas 1 y 2 presentan tendencia positiva al ascenso; mientras que, en las zonas 3 y 4, no presentan tendencia, al ascenso o descenso, por encontrarse la mayor cantidad de pozos tubulares en explotación y existe equilibrio entre la recarga y descarga. Finalmente, para conocer la oferta y demanda del recurso hídrico, se estimó la disponibilidad, mediante los factores que intervienen en la recarga, como ocurren a través del lecho del rio, áreas irrigadas, el flujo subterráneo, siendo este 50,76 Hm3 y la descarga, por la evapotranspiración y la explotación del agua subterránea mediante pozos y flujo subterráneo igual a 40,37 Hm3, lo que indica que el caudal de recarga es mayor que la descarga en consecuencia el acuífero no se encuentra sobre explotadaThe objective of this research was to provide an answer to the conditions of availability and exploitation of groundwater in the Lurín aquifer, located 40 km south of Lima. The aquifer of Lurín covers the districts of Lurín, Pachacamac, Cieneguilla and part of Villa El Salvador, has an approximate extension of 8500 ha.
