Departamento Académico de Ingeniería Ambiental, Física y MeteorologíaLa presente investigación se llevó a cabo en el Aeródromo María Reiche Neuman ubicado en la costa sur del Perú, región Ica, provincia de Nasca, distrito de Vista Alegre, siendo su actividad principal el servicio de vuelos de reconocimiento de las famosas líneas de Nasca. El objetivo del estudio fue elaborar una propuesta de programa de gestión ambiental para el aeródromo basado en la Norma Técnica ISO 14001. El método utilizado consistió en desarrollar un diagnóstico ambiental, como línea base, para elaborar la propuesta de mejora. Esto hizo necesario determinar previamente la caracterización de los procesos, la identificación de los requisitos legales aplicables, la determinación de aspectos ambientales significativos, elaboración de la política ambiental y el establecimiento de objetivos y metas. El estudio ha permitido determinar que el desempeño ambiental del aeródromo tiene bajo nivel de cumplimiento de los requisitos de la norma ISO 14001:2004, solo 19.5 por ciento. También hizo posible determinar y priorizar cuatro aspectos ambientales significativos: la disposición inadecuada de residuos sólidos, de residuos sólidos peligrosos, de aguas residuales y el potencial derrame de combustible. El programa contiene los objetivos y las metas para el control o mitigación, indicadores de desempeño, medios de verificación, responsables, cronograma, actividades para minimizar la generación de residuos sólidos y la gestión de dos proyectos de inversión pública para la construcción de un relleno sanitario y una planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales. Finalmente, los resultados obtenidos permiten concluir que el modelo de gestión del aeródromo no controla eficazmente los aspectos ambientales significativos que genera. Por tanto, se recomienda a la alta dirección implementar el presente programa y reorientar el enfoque de la gestión hacia un modelo con protección ambiental proactiva para consolidar una positiva imagen corporativa y el beneplácito de las partes interesadas del aeródromo.The present investigation was carried out at the Maria Reiche Neuman Aerodrome, located in the southern coast of Peru, Ica region, Nasca province, Vista Alegre district, being its main activity the provision of reconnaissance flights over the famous Nasca lines. The objective of the study was to develop the Aerodrome Environmental Management Program Proposal based on the ISO 14001 Technical Standard. The method used consisted of developing the environmental diagnosis, as a baseline, to elaborate an improvement proposal. This made it necessary to previously determine the characterization of processes, the identification of legal applicable requirements, the determination of significant environmental aspects, elaboration of the environmental policy, establishment of objectives and goals. The study has allowed determining that the aerodrome environmental performance has a low level of compliance with the ISO 14001:2004 requirements, only 19.5 percent. It also, made it possible to determine and prioritize four significant environmental aspects: the inadequate disposal of solid waste, hazardous solid waste, wastewater and the potential spillage of fuel. The program includes control and mitigation objectives and goals, performance indicators, means of verification, managers, schedule, activities to minimize the generation of solid waste and the management of two public investment projects for the construction of a sanitary landfill and a wastewater treatment plant. Finally, the obtained results allow us to conclude that the aerodrome management model does not effectively control the significant environmental aspects that it generates.
