Departamento Académico de Manejo ForestalLos patrones espaciales brindan información fundamental para el entendimiento de los procesos que abarcan la dinámica poblacional de un bosque, permitiendo establecer diversas estrategias de manejo forestal. En el presente estudio se analizó la distribución espacial de las diez especies forestales más abundantes en los bosques premontanos del valle de Chanchamayo (Departamento de Junín, Perú), de tal manera que se pueda investigar los posibles factores ecológicos que pudieron haber influenciado en dicha distribución. Para ello se emplearon los datos de 4 parcelas permanentes de 1 hectárea correspondientes a bosques secundarios tardíos o bosques maduros. El tipo de patrón espacial de cada especie fue determinado mediante una versión modificada de la función K de Ripley. Asimismo, se utilizó el análisis de densidad de Kernel para una mejor interpretación de los patrones resultantes. Se determinó que las especies Clarisia biflora, Coussapoa villosa, Ficus maxima, Inga cinnamomea, Sapium glandulosum y Trophis caucana presentan una distribución espacial agregada, mientras que las especies Batocarpus costaricensis, Mauria heterophylla, Nectandra pulverulenta y Pseudolmedia laevis una distribución predominantemente aleatoria. Los resultados obtenidos indican que el arreglo espacial de las poblaciones analizadas es mayoritariamente agregado. Presumiblemente el gremio ecológico, el modo de dispersión y el tipo de fruto serían las características inherentes de las especies que han podido influir en la estructura espacial; así como la pendiente, el suelo, el drenaje y la luz como las características del sitio más determinantes en las distribuciones encontradas.Spatial patterns provide fundamental information for understanding the processes of forest population dynamics, allowing forest management strategies. In the present study, the spatial distribution of the ten most abundant forest species in the premontane forests of the Chanchamayo valley (Junin, Peru) was analyzed, with this goal, data from 4 1-hectare permanent plots corresponding to late secondary forests or mature forests. The type of spatial pattern of each species was determined by a modified version of Ripley's K function, and Kernel density analysis was used for a better interpretation of the resulting patterns. It was determined that the species Clarisia biflora, Coussapoa villosa, Ficus maxima, Inga cinnamomea, Sapium glandulosum and Trophis caucana present an aggregate spatial distribution, while the species Batocarpus costaricensis, Mauria heterophylla, Nectandra pulverulenta and Pseudolmedia laevis have a predominantly random distribution. The results obtained indicate that the spatial arrangement of the analyzed populations is predominantly aggregate.
