Maestría en Agricultura SustentableCon el propósito de conocer la percepción de los pequeños agricultores cacaoteros de la zona del VRAEM y de cuantificar la respuesta de diferentes genotipos de cacao frente a la poda de rehabilitación por recepa se desarrolló este estudio que estuvo formado por dos ensayos, el primero fue el estudio de la percepción de pequeños agricultores frente a la poda de cacao; mientras que el segundo ensayo consistió en la cuantificación de las respuestas de cuatro clones de cacao a la poda de recepa, actividad que se desarrolló en el Centro Poblado de Nueva Libertad de Mazángaro, distrito Vizcatán del Ene, provincia Satipo, región Junín, a una temperatura, humedad y precipitación de 27 ºC, 85 por ciento y 1364.5 mm entre agosto 2020 a febrero 2021. Los tratamientos fueron T1-CCN51, T2 VRAE99, T3-VRAE 15 y T4-PORCELANA. Respecto al primer trabajo de investigación, los datos indican que los agricultores de la zona de estudio, mayormente, tienen menos de una ha de terreno, cultivando esencialmente los genotipos CCN51 y VRAE99. Asimismo, ellos realizan podas, aunque básicamente de formación y sanitaria. Además, existe un grupo que no practica la poda por no poseer la técnica para hacerla. Los productores reconocen la importancia de la incorporación de residuos y lo practican. La principal institución presente en la zona es DEVIDA. Respecto al segundo trabajo de investigación, los resultados indican que en la mayoría de variables cuantitativas como número de brotes, hojas, brotes plagiotrópicos, área de la hoja destacan los genotipos CCN51 y VRAE99, mientras que longitud de peciolo, los menos valores fueron para genotipos antes mencionados. Respecto a las variables cualitativas, notamos que en el genotipo Porcelana predominaban los brotes de color verde, con la base de la hoja de forma obtusa, mientras que la punta tenía la forma acuminada larga. Finalmente podemos concluir que ambos genotipos CCN51 y VRAE99 responden muy bien luego de la poda recepa, mostrando respuestas estadísticamente similares, además, los agricultores tienen una buena percepción de la poda, aunque no todos la practican, sugiriendo de esta forma la necesidad de contar con más instituciones que den un soporte técnico a esta práctica.In order to understand their potential response to rehabilitation pruning by rootstock of cocoa clones, in addition to knowing the perception of small cocoa farmers in the VRAEM area, this study was developed which consisted of two trials, the first was the study of the perception of small farmers regarding cocoa pruning; while the second trial consisted of the quantification of the responses of four cocoa clones to rootstock pruning, an activity that was carried out in the Nueva Libertad Population Center of Mazángaro, Vizcatán del Ene district, Satipo province, Junín region, at a temperature, humidity and precipitation of 27 ºC, 85 percent and 1364.5 mm between August 2020 to February 2021.
