Departamento Académico de Manejo ForestalEl presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la mejor ecuación para la estimación de biomasa aérea y estimación de volumen de la especie Myrcianthes oreophila, evaluados en el bosque Yanaunca en el distrito de Los Chankas, provincia de Chincheros, departamento de Apurímac. Se utilizó el método destructivo y se evaluaron las variables diámetro a la altura del pecho, altura total, altura de fuste y diámetro de copa de 33 individuos, obteniéndose un total de 99 muestras de fuste y 33 muestras de ramas que se llevaron a analizar al laboratorio, donde se determinó la densidad básica y contenido de humedad. En gabinete se procedió a determinar el volumen, la biomasa de los individuos y se seleccionaron 122 modelos de ecuaciones en base a las variables independientes medidas. Los modelos fueron sometidos al análisis de regresión aplicando el método de mínimos cuadrados, para ello se tomaron en cuenta los criterios estadísticos: coeficiente de determinación (R2 ), las pruebas de significancia estadística Fisher y t-Student y el análisis de residuos para la determinación de homocedasticidad. De las ecuaciones evaluadas, siete ecuaciones de biomasa y cuatro ecuaciones de volumen cumplieron con los supuestos. Posteriormente, se realizó el análisis de regresión ponderada en aquellos modelos que no cumplieron los supuestos de homocedasticidad. Se generaron 2319 ecuaciones para la estimación de biomasa y 1886 ecuaciones para la estimación de volumen, de las cuales tres ecuaciones de biomasa y dos ecuaciones de volumen cumplieron con los criterios estadísticos y lograron homogenizar su varianza. Para ambos casos se comparó el índice de Furnival de las ecuaciones aceptadas. In the cabinet, the volume, the biomass of the individuals were determined and 122 models of equations were selected based on the independent variables measured. The models were submitted to the regression analysis using the least squares method, for this the statistical criteria were taken into account: coefficient of determination (R2 ), the Fisher and t-Student statistical significance tests and the residual analysis for the determination of homocedasticity. Of the equations evaluated, seven biomass equations and four volume equations met the assumptions. Subsequently, weighted regression analysis was performed on those models that did not meet the assumptions of homocedasticity. 2319 equations for the biomass estimation and 1886 equations for the volume estimation were generated, of which three biomass equations and two volume equations met the statistical criteria and managed to homogenize their variance.
