El objetivo principal es demostrar la utilización de la técnica del retejido y cosido hilo a hilo del soporte textil para su recuperación estructural en aquellas partes de la obra que posibilitan su utilización. La investigación es de tipo aplicado por los objetivos planteados que requieren la intervención y restauración de la obra de arte. También fue estudiada su historicidad, debidamente documentada y poniendo en conocimiento todas las características, técnicas y materiales que presentaba el objeto en estudio, se reconocieron las patologías y lesiones de la pintura para así determinar las técnicas de conservación y restauración y aplicarlas adecuadamente logrando recuperar exitosa y eficazmente la integridad del soporte textil de la pintura sobre lienzo Santa Fe Católica.

The historical, artistic, iconographic, iconological and material characteristics of the work of art under study are disclosed. The main objective is to demonstrate the use of the technique of reweaving and sewing thread by thread of the textile support for its structural recovery in those parts of the work that allow its use. The research is applied by the objectives that require the intervention and restoration of the work of art.
