Evaluar y analizar la calidad de vida de los pacientes diagnosticados con diabetes mellitus tipo II que reciben atención en la consulta externa del Centro Materno Infantil Rímac, durante el año 2023. Materiales y métodos: se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño no experimental y transversal de tipo descriptivo. La población y muestra incluyeron a 109 pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo II del CMI Rimac. Se utilizó el cuestionario WHOQOL-BREF, compuesto por 4 dimensiones y 26 ítems con respuestas en escala de Likert. Resultados: los hallazgos indicaron que el 48,6% de los pacientes presentaron un nivel medio de calidad de vida, seguido por el 33,9% con nivel bajo y el 17,4% con nivel alto. En la dimensión de salud física, el 49,5% tuvo un nivel bajo, el 36,7% un nivel medio y el 13,8% un nivel alto. Respecto a la salud psicológica, el 51,4% mostró un nivel medio, el 29,4% un nivel bajo y el 19,3% un nivel alto. En cuanto a las relaciones interpersonales, el 56,0% tuvo un nivel medio, el 32,1% un nivel bajo y el 11,9% un nivel alto. Finalmente, en las relaciones ambientales, el 47,7% fue de nivel bajo, el 37,6% de nivel medio y el 14,7% de nivel alto. Conclusión: se observó que en la calidad de vida de los pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo II fue predominante el nivel medio, seguido por el nivel bajo y el nivel alto. |

Materials and methods: a quantitative approach with a non-experimental and cross-sectional descriptive design was used. The population and sample included 109 patients with type II diabetes mellitus at the CMI Rimac. The WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire was used, composed of 4 dimensions and 26 items with Likert scale responses. Results: the findings indicated that 48.6% of the patients presented a medium level of quality of life, followed by 33.9% with a low level and 17.4% with a high level. In the physical health dimension, 49.5% had a low level, 36.7% a medium level and 13.8% a high level. Regarding psychological health, 51.4% showed a medium level, 29.4% a low level and 19.3% a high level. Regarding interpersonal relationships, 56.0% had a medium level, 32.1% a low level and 11.9% a high level.
