description Objetivo: determinar el nivel de conocimiento y consumo de vitaminas que favorecen al sistema inmunológico frente a enfermedades respiratorias en pobladores del AA.HH. San Fernando, San Juan de Lurigancho, marzo-mayo, 2023. Materiales y métodos: el enfoque cualitativo, tipo correlacional y diseño no experimental y transversal, en 203 pobladores del AA.HH. San Fernando, empleando el Cuestionario de conocimiento sobre consumo de alimentos que contienen vitaminas y el Cuestionario de consumo de vitaminas que favorecen al sistema inmunológico. Se empleó el Chi cuadrado para el análisis estadístico. Resultados: se encontró conocimientos alto sobre vitaminas que favorecen al sistema inmunológico (51,7%), conocimiento alto en las dimensiones conocimiento del individuo (58,1%) e interpretación del individuo (51,7%) y conocimiento medio en observación del individuo (57,6%); consumo alto en la variable consumo de vitaminas que favorecen al sistema inmunológico (57,1%), consumo alto en la dimensión consumo por grupo de alimentos (52,2%) y medio en hábitos alimenticios diarios (52,2%). Se halló relación entre el conocimiento y consumo de vitaminas que favorecen al sistema inmunológico frente a enfermedades respiratorias (p<0,05). Conclusiones: existe relación entre el conocimiento y consumo de vitaminas que favorecen al sistema inmunológico frente a enfermedades respiratorias.

San Fernando, using the Knowledge Questionnaire on the consumption of foods that contain vitamins and the Questionnaire on the consumption of vitamins that favor the immune system. Chi square was used for statistical analysis. Results. high knowledge was found about vitamins that favor the immune system (51.7%), high knowledge in the dimensions knowledge of the individual (58.1%) and interpretation of the individual (51.7%) and average knowledge in observation of the individual (57.6%); high consumption in the variable consumption of vitamins that favor the immune system (57.1%), high consumption in the dimension consumption by food group (52.2%) and medium in daily eating habits (52.2%). A relationship was found between knowledge and consumption of vitamins that favor the immune system against respiratory diseases (p<0.05).
