La población de esta investigación es finita, conformada por madres en etapa de lactancia que se atienden en el Centro de Salud Livitaca, el instrumento validado consta de 24 preguntas divididas en 4 dimensiones. Los resultados obtenidos muestran el nivel de conocimiento de las madres fue de medio con 55% (33), seguida del conocimiento alto con 40% (24) y solo el 5% (3) de las madres posee conocimiento bajo en relación a lactancia materna exclusiva. Conclusiones: el nivel conocimiento de las madres sobre lactancia materna exclusiva en el Centro de Salud Livitaca es medio, seguida de alto y bajo.

Materials and methods: it has a quantitative approach, in terms of the methodological design it is a non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional research. The population of this research is finite, made up of breastfeeding mothers who are treated at the Livitaca Health Center, the validated instrument consists of 24 questions divided into 4 dimensions. The results obtained show the level of knowledge of the mothers was medium with 55 % (33), followed by high knowledge with 40% (24) and only 5% (3) of mothers have low knowledge regarding exclusive breastfeeding.
