Por lo tanto, la presente investigación evalúa la relación entre el conocimiento, las prácticas y las actitudes al uso del AOE en mujeres. Esta investigación es no experimental y transversal, la cual se aplicó a 200 mujeres con edades entre 18-25 años (65%), con escolaridad secundaria (47.5%) y que recibieron información por parte de un obstetra (28%). 63% y 66,5% de las mujeres presentaron un nivel medio en cuanto a conocimientos y actitudes, respectivamente y 77,5% un nivel alto en prácticas acerca del AOE. Se registró relación positiva y débil entre conocimientos y actitudes (r = .278, p < .001), pero no se registró relación entre la práctica con el conocimiento o con las actitudes al uso del AOE. En conclusión, aunque hay relación entre el conocimiento y actitud, esto no se relaciona con su uso en la práctica.

The recommendation is that it should be used as an emergency method and not for regular hormonal contraception, as it is less effective and, in high doses, produces adverse reactions. Therefore, this research evaluates the relationship between knowledge, practices, and attitudes towards EC use in women. This study is non-experimental and cross- sectional, applied to 200 women aged 18-25 years (65%), with secondary education (47.5%), and who received information from an obstetrician (28%). 63% and 66.5% of women showed a medium level of knowledge and attitudes, respectively, and 77.5% showed a high level of practices regarding EC. A weak positive relationship was found between knowledge and attitudes (r =.278, p < .001), but no relationship was found between practice and knowledge or attitudes towards EC use.
