description Objetivo: determinar el nivel de conocimiento y la práctica en enfermeras sobre aspiración de secreciones en pacientes con ventilación mecánica en cuidados intensivos Hospital Regional de Ayacucho Miguel Ángel Mariscal Llerena, 2024. Materiales y métodos: el diseño es cuantitativo, el diseño es no experimental, transversal. La población son 30 enfermeras que laboran en el servicio de UCI del Hospital Miguel Ángel Mariscal Llerena, según datos proporcionados por el departamento de enfermería de la institución. La recolección de datos se recopilo mediante el uso de cuestionarios estructurados, compuesto por 10 preguntas relacionadas con conocimientos y 17 ítems enfocados en la práctica, se desarrolló tras obtener el consentimiento informado con la debida autorización de los participantes. Resultados: la información obtenida será expuestos mediante gráficos y tablas que ilustrarán las variables analizadas en el estudio. Conclusión: este trabajo ofrece un aporte significativo para que los profesionales en enfermería dispongan de herramientas útiles en su práctica diaria.

Materials and methods: the design is quantitative and non-experimental, with a cross-sectional approach. The population consists of 30 nurses working in the ICU service of the Miguel Ángel Mariscal Llerena Hospital, according to data provided by the institution’s nursing department. Data collection was carried out using structured questionnaires composed of 10 questions related to knowledge and 17 items focused on practice. The process was conducted after obtaining informed consent with the proper authorization of the participants. Results: the information obtained will be presented through graphs and tables that will illustrate the variables analyzed in the study.
