Introducción: las prácticas alimentarias saludables de las madres de preescolares brindan una fortificación nutricional desde los primeros años de vida; sin embargo, las practicas alimentarias no saludables afectan negativamente en su estado de salud, aumentan su susceptibilidad a infecciones y contribuyen al desarrollo de cambios nutricionales que van desde la desnutrición y falta de micronutrientes hasta el desarrollo del sobrepeso y obesidad, y que pueden persistir hasta la edad adulta. Objetivo: determinar las prácticas alimentarias de las madres de preescolares con sobrepeso y obesidad de la I.E. N° 100 Santa Elizabeth, 2023. Metodología: el estudio fue cuantitativo, descriptivo y corte transversal; la población y muestra estuvo conformada por 90 madres de preescolares; la técnica fue la encuesta y el instrumento un cuestionario. Resultados: las madres de prescolares tienen entre 20 a 25 años 45.6%, con educación secundaria 75.6%, son convivientes 63.3% y tienen 1 hijo57.8%; asimismo, las prácticas alimentarias fue regular 53.4%, buena 24.4% y mala 22.2%; según dimensiones prácticas alimentarias saludables fue regular 47.8%, buena 30% y mala 22.2%; y prácticas alimentarias no saludables fue regular 51.1%, buena 26.7% y mala 22.2%. Conclusiones: Las prácticas alimentarias de las madres de preescolares con sobrepeso y obesidad de la I.E. N° 100 Santa Elizabeth fue regular, tanto las prácticas alimentarias saludables y no saludables. |

Objective: to determine the eating practices of the mothers of preschoolers with overweight and obesity from the Educational Institution No. 100 Santa Elizabeth de San Juan de Lurigancho, 2023. Methodology: the study was quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional design; The study population and sample consisted of 90 mothers of preschoolers; The technique was the survey and as an instrument a Likert Scale-type question form. Results: 45.6% of preschool mothers are between 20 and 25 years old, 75.6% have secondary education, 63.3% are cohabitants, and 57.8% have 1 child; likewise, the eating practices 53.4% are regular, 24.4% good and 22.2% bad; according to healthy eating practices dimensions, 47.8% is regular, 30% good and 22.2% bad; and unhealthy eating practices 51.1% is regular, 26.7% good and 22.2% bad. Conclusions: The eating practices of mothers of overweight and obese preschoolers from the I.E.
