description Objetivo: determinar la relación entre los conocimientos y las actitudes frente al uso de plantas medicinales para el tratamiento de IRAS en pobladores del AA.HH. Liberación, San Juan de Lurigancho, abril-junio, 2023. Materiales y métodos: el enfoque fue cuantitativo, diseño no experimental y transversal. La muestra se conformó por 200 pobladores del AA.HH. Liberación, San Juan de Lurigancho. Los instrumentos de recolección de datos fueron el cuestionario de conocimiento sobre el uso de plantas medicinales y el cuestionario de actitudes frente al uso de plantas medicinales. Se utilizó la estadística descriptiva y la prueba chi cuadrado para el análisis estadístico de los datos. Resultados: se halló que no existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre los conocimientos y las actitudes frente al uso de plantas medicinales para el tratamiento de IRAS (p>0,05); asimismo, se halló en los evaluados conocimientos medio frente al uso de plantas medicinales para el tratamiento de IRAS (68,5%) y actitud de aceptación frente al uso de plantas medicinales para el tratamiento de IRAS (74,5%). Conclusiones: no existe relación entre los conocimientos y las actitudes frente al uso de plantas medicinales para el tratamiento de infecciones respiratorias agudas en los pobladores del AA. HH. Liberation, San Juan de Lurigancho, April-June, 2023. Materials and methods: the approach was quantitative, non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The sample was made up of 200 residents of the AA.HH. Liberation, San Juan de Lurigancho. The data collection instruments were the knowledge questionnaire about the use of medicinal plants and the attitude questionnaire towards the use of medicinal plants. Descriptive statistics and the chi square test were used for statistical analysis of the data. Results: it was found that there is no statistically significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards the use of medicinal plants for the treatment of HAI (p>0.05); Likewise, average knowledge regarding the use of medicinal plants for the treatment of HAIs (68.5%) and an attitude of acceptance towards the use of medicinal plants for the treatment of HAIs (74.5%) were found in those evaluated.
