El presente trabajo expone el abordaje clínico de un caso de Trastorno Límite de la Personalidad en una persona joven adulta, con énfasis en los factores emocionales, interpersonales y psicosociales asociados a esta condición, a través de una evaluación integral y la propuesta de un plan de intervención psicológica basado en la Terapia Dialéctico – Conductual (TDC), se busca favorecer la regulación emocional, disminuir la impulsividad y mejorar la calidad de vida de la paciente. El estudio de caso permitió identificar elementos clave como la inestabilidad afectiva, el temor al abandono, las dificultades interpersonales, la autoimagen fluctuante y la limitada red de apoyo, los cuales resultan relevantes en la aparición y mantenimiento del cuadro clínico, a través de las técnicas propuestas en el plan de intervención como: la psicoeducación, Acción opuesta, Autoconsuelo, STOP(detente), las habilidades de regulación emocional, la tolerancia al malestar y el entrenamiento en habilidades interpersonales. Se resalta la importancia de una atención psicológica oportuna y adaptada a las necesidades específicas de los adultos jóvenes con TLP. |

Se resalta la importancia de una atención psicológica oportuna y adaptada a las necesidades específicas de los adultos jóvenes con TLP.This paper presents the clinical approach to a case of Borderline Personality Disorder in a young adult, with emphasis on the emotional, interpersonal, and psychosocial factors associated with this condition. Through a comprehensive evaluation and the proposal of a psychological intervention plan based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the aim is to promote emotional regulation, reduce impulsivity, and improve the patient's quality of life. The case study allowed for the identification of key elements such as affective instability, fear of abandonment, interpersonal difficulties, fluctuating self-image, and a limited support network. These elements are relevant to the emergence and maintenance of the clinical picture. The intervention plan proposes techniques such as psychoeducation, opposing action, self-comfort, the STOP technique, emotional regulation skills, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills training.
