Evaluating Basic Education Policy: an impact on the SDG from the educational reform for Mexico

This paper analyzes the basic educational policy since the educational reform proposed in 2013 and how this has had an impact on the performance indicators of Sustainable Development Goal 4. Guarantee inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities. for all, as well as the results in the national social policy from two areas: coverage, and financing. With this, the main results imply that education has had a bias in favor of the city and inequality in the country continues to be perpetuated from the structures of the educational system, which far from benefiting an educational reform for the modernization of the system, precarious areas of vulnerable groups, although progress has been made in the SDG indicators, it does not imply a transformation within.
