El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la asociación entre los factores de riesgo y las lesiones bucales en pacientes portadores de prótesis dental total en la Clínica Estomatológica del Adulto en la Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, en el ciclo 2017-II. El diseño de la investigación fue descriptivo, el tipo del estudio fue Observacional, Transversal y Prospectiva. Para poder cumplir con el objetivo general de la investigación, se utilizó una muestra que estuvo conformada por 80 pacientes adultos portadores de prótesis dental total que acudieron a la Clínica Estomatológica del Adulto de la Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, que fueron seleccionados en forma no probabilística por conveniencia, que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión que se plantearon. Luego de los datos se procesaron mediante el programa estadístico informático SPSS versión 20. Luego se aplicó estadística descriptiva e inferencial. Los resultados mostraron que en mayoría los pacientes, los factores de riesgo, planteados en el estudio, tienen influencia sobre las lesiones que presentaron en la cavidad bucal. En la investigación se concluyó que en mayoría los pacientes portadores de prótesis dental total presentan lesiones en la cavidad bucal. |

The research design was descriptive, the type of study was Observational, Transverse and Prospective. In order to fulfill the general objective of the research, a sample was used consisting of 80 adult patients with total dental prosthesis who attended the Adult Stomatological Clinic of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University, Probabilistic for convenience, that met the criteria of inclusion and exclusion that were raised. After the data were processed using the statistical software SPSS version 20. Then descriptive and inferential statistics were applied. The results showed that in most patients, the risk factors, raised in the study, have influence on the lesions that presented in the oral cavity.
