COMTEL, es un certamen organizado por la Facultad de Ingeniería de Sistemas, Cómputo y Telecomunicaciones de la Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, que congrega a profesionales, investigadores y estudiantes de diversos países con el fin de difundir e intercambiar conocimientos, mostrar experiencias académicas-científicas y soluciones para empresas en las áreas de Computación, Telecomunicaciones y disciplinas afines.La adecuada gestión de un sistema de información típico consistente de un servidor de aplicaciones, un servidor web, servicios de mensajería, capas middleware y sistemas operativos, se ha convertido en un gran reto para las organizaciones, debido al coste elevado y la falta de fiabilidad de una administración manual, principalmente cuando existen problemas de congestión y degradación de la calidad del servicio de los servidores. La computación autonómica o autónoma propone mejorar la compleja gestión de los sistemas informáticos dinámicos utilizando la teoría de control realimentado, entre otros. Los sistemas de gestión autónoma, o auto-gestión, se basan en lazos de control que monitorean el ambiente, modelan su comportamiento en ese entorno, y toman acción para modificar dicho ambiente o su propio comportamiento, de manera tal que el administrador humano es reemplazado por un sistema de control automático.
