description La presente investigación tiene por objetivo identificar el nivel de la funcionalidad familiar en los estudiantes de primero y segundo año de secundaria de la I.E.P San Juan Bautista en el distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho, periodo 2018. El estudio corresponde a una investigación de tipo descriptiva, de nivel básica y con un enfoque cuantitativo de acuerdo al manejo de los datos. El diseño de la investigación es no experimental, de corte transversal. El universo de la población se conforma por 50 adolescentes de I.E.P. – San Juan Bautista y la muestra fue censal, debido a la reducida cantidad de participantes. La técnica empleada para la recolección de la información fue la encuesta y el instrumento utilizado fue La escala del clima social familiar (FES) la cual evalúa tres dimensiones tales como relaciones, desarrollo, y estabilidad. La conclusión a la que se llego fue que la funcionalidad familiar de los adolescentes de I.E.P. San Juan Bautista expresan en un 92% de los jóvenes evaluados se ubica en la categoría moderada, debido a que aún falta el fortalecimiento de la integración familiar.

The study corresponds to a descriptive research, of basic level and with a quantitative approach according to the handling of the data. The research design is non-experimental, cross-sectional. The universe of the population consists of 50 adolescents of I.E.P. - San Juan Bautista and the sample was census, due to the small number of participants. The technique used to collect the information was the survey and the instrument used was The Family Social Climate Scale (FES), which evaluates three dimensions such as relationships, development, and stability. The conclusion reached was that the family functionality of adolescents of I.E.P.
