description El objetivo de la presente investigación determinó la auto-percepción sobre la calidad de vida en relación con la salud bucal en pacientes gestantes atendidas en el Centro Materno Infantil Laura Rodríguez Dulanto en el año 2019.Materiales: Se llevó a cabo una encuesta utilizando una ficha denominada OHIP-14SP con el cual se pudo evaluar la auto-percepción sobre la calidad de vida de las pacientes gestantes. Adicional a ello se realizó un examen clínico de la cavidad bucal utilizando dos fichas de observación, ya sea el índice de caries dental (CPO-D) y el índice de higiene oral simplificado (IHOS). Metodología: Es un estudio descriptivo, observacional, de tipo transversal y descriptivo, con un enfoque cualitativo. Resultados: Se encontró que en mayoría en referencia al índice de CPO-D los que presentaron una Buena calidad de vida y presentaron un índice CPO-D Muy alto representan un 48%,seguido de los que precisaron tener Regular calidad de vida y presentaron un índice CPO-D Muy alto los cuales representan un 19%, en referencia al IHO indicaron que tener una Buena calidad de vida y un IHO Bueno representan un 35%, seguido de los que precisaron tener una Buena calidad de vida y un IHO Regular representan un 35%.Al realizar la prueba de Chicuadrado de Pearson (X2) se determinó que se acepta la hipótesis nula es decir se establece así la independencia de las variables. Conclusión: Respecto a determinar la auto-percepción sobre la calidad de vida en relación con la salud bucal en pacientes gestantes atendidas en el Centro Materno Infantil Laura Rodríguez Dulanto en el año 2019, se concluye que no existe una relación directamente proporcional.

Materials: A survey was carried out using a file called OHIP-14SP with which it was possible to evaluate the self-perception on the quality of life of the pregnant patients. In addition, a clinical examination of the oral cavity was performed using two observation cards, either the dental caries index (CPO-D) and the simplified oral hygiene index (IHOS).Methodology: It is a descriptive, observational study, of transversal and descriptive type, with a qualitative approach. Results: It was found that, in the majority of the CPO-D index, those who presented a good quality of life and had a very high CPO-D index represent 48%, followed by those who needed to have a regular quality of life and had a very high CPO-D index which represents 19%, in reference to the IHO they indicated that having a Good quality of life and a Good IHO represent 35%, followed by the that required a Good Quality of Life and a Regular IHO represent 35%.
