description La investigación titulada “El liderazgo transformacional y el desempeño docente en la Institución Educativa Túpac Amaru” tuvo el objetivo fue determinar si existe relación del liderazgo transformacional con el desempeño docente en la Institución Educativa Túpac Amaru distrito de Villa María del Triunfo– UGEL N° 01 – 2017. El enfoque de investigación fue cuantitativo, de tipo básico y diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional. La población estuvo determinada por 140 docentes de la Institución Educativa Túpac Amaru distrito de Villa María del Triunfo, siendo la muestra de tipo censal. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron cuestionarios para medir las variables liderazgo transformacional y desempeño docente, los cuales fueron validados mediante juicio de expertos y determinado su confiabilidad mediante el coeficiente alfa de Cronbach. Los resultados mostraron una correlación significativa (rho=0.752; p<0,01) entre las variables liderazgo transformacional y desempeño docente, lo que hace concluir que existe relación significativa entre liderazgo transformacional y desempeño docente en la Institución Educativa Túpac Amaru distrito de Villa María del Triunfo– UGEL N° 01 – 2017.
