description El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal en gestantes que acuden a un hospital en Cajamarca en 2024, alineándose con el tercer Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible: Salud y Bienestar. Fue un estudio cuantitativo, transversal y no experimental con una muestra de 153 gestantes. La técnica utilizada fue una encuesta con el test "Conocimiento sobre Salud Bucal" con validez 0.96, confiabilidad KR-20 = 0.818, evaluando prevención, enfermedades bucales, atención odontológica y desarrollo dental durante la gestación. Los resultados muestran que el conocimiento general fue mayormente bajo y medio, con solo un 12,4% alcanzando un nivel alto. En prevención, el 48,4% obtuvo un nivel alto, especialmente en el tercer trimestre 22,2%. Sin embargo, las dimensiones de enfermedades bucales 74,5% y desarrollo dental 74,5% mostraron un nivel bajo predominante, al igual que la atención odontológica, donde un 86,2% presentó un nivel bajo y solo un 1,3% alcanzó un nivel alto. Se concluye que el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal en las gestantes fue predominantemente bajo, reflejando una falta de información adecuada en aspectos clave de su salud bucal. Este panorama resalta la necesidad de mejorar la educación sobre salud bucal durante el embarazo.
