description Se realizó el estudio debido a la coyuntura actual, todas las ciudades del país adolecen la falta de seguridad ciudadana, por ello la investigación tuvo el objetivo de determinar la relación entre la gestión municipal y la seguridad ciudadana en una Municipalidad Provincial de Arequipa en el año 2022. El enfoque desarrollado fue cuantitativo, el método fue hipotético deductivo, el diseño no experimental transversal, el alcance descriptivo correlacional. La población estuvo constituida por 113 trabajadores ediles, la muestra fue de 113 colaboradores, el muestreo fue no probabilístico por conveniencia. La técnica que se usó fue la encuesta y el instrumento cuestionario. Se llegó a la conclusión de que existe relación significativa entre la gestión municipal y la seguridad ciudadana, debido a que el valor de significancia, p valor = 0.000 < 0.05 y el coeficiente de correlación fue de 0.804. para una Municipalidad Provincial de Arequipa.
