La investigación fue tipo básica, diseño no experimental, cuya población y muestra fue de 42 colaboradores. La técnica de recolección de datos fue la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario. Los resultados determinaron que el nivel de control interno, es medio en 57,1 %, bajo en 28,6 % y alto en 14,3 %, el nivel de ejecución presupuestal, es medio en 52,4 %, bajo en 28.6, % y alto en 19.0 %. Concluyendo que existe relación significativa entre el control interno y la calidad de ejecución presupuestal en la Municipalidad Provincial de San Martín – 2022, ya que el análisis estadístico de Rho Spearman se alcanzó un coeficiente de 0.986 (correlación positiva muy alta) y un p valor igual a 0,000 (p-valor ≤ 0.01), además, solo el 97.96 % del control interno influye en la calidad de ejecución presupuestal.
