Esta investigación fue de tipo transversal, descriptivo y cuantitativa, la muestra estuvo conformada por 282 cirujanos dentistas de la ciudad de Piura, se distribuyó un cuestionario virtual, el cual contenía en la primera sección preguntas de filiación: el género, entidad de trabajo (privado, público, universidad o ninguno) , años de experiencia 1-5,6-10,11- 15,16-20>20,universidad de procedencia estatal o pública y finalmente si cuenta o no con estudios de postgrado y la otra parte constó de conocimiento de la emergencia se divide en manejo de emergencia (7 preguntas) y manejo clínico (13 preguntas) .En los resultados se determinó que el 29.4% de los cirujanos dentistas demuestran poseer un nivel elevado de conocimientos en relación con la avulsión dentaria; marcado contraste, un considerable 79.6% alcanza un nivel medio de competencia en este ámbito.
