Este tipo de investigación fue de tipo básica y el diseño de investigación fue estudio de caso. Así mismo, se utilizó la encuesta y la entrevista como técnica de recolección de datos. Los resultados de la investigación indicaron que los intérpretes de enlace se ven afectados mentalmente por contextos vulnerables, siendo los efectos más frecuentes estrés (18), tristeza (11), impotencia (11) y ansiedad (9). Fueron diagnosticados con trastorno depresivo (12), de ansiedad (9), entre otros. Por consiguiente, se concluyó que existe un gran impacto emocional dentro del campo laboral del profesional que repercute en la salud mental del intérprete, y que la asistencia psicológica no es tomada en consideración al momento de contratarlos. Es por ello la necesidad de estrategias que ayuden al intérprete a desempeñarse de manera óptima.
