description El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo elaborar un “Diseño de defensa ribereña empleando geoceldas para mitigar las inundaciones – Margen izquierdo del Rio Chillón – Trapiche – Comas, 2019”, la cual es una investigación aplicada con un enfoque cuantitativo. El nivel de investigación es explicativo con un diseño experimental (cuasi – experimental). El Proyecto se realizará en un tramo de 200metros en la Av. San Carlos del margen izquierdo del rio Chillón, para este fin se propuso el uso de geoceldas como alternativa de solución a los problemas de deslizamientos que ocurren en esta área producto de las fuertes precipitaciones y topografía de la zona. Se realizaron dos muestras para los ensayos de estudios de suelos para verificar el tipo de suelo con la cual estaríamos trabajando, así mismo se realizó los estudios hidráulicos para obtener el caudal y el tipo de flujo.
