description La seguridad ciudadana es fundamental para la calidad de vida global. El objetivo de la investigación fue analizar percepciones y nivel de participación ciudadana en consultas sobre políticas gubernamentales de seguridad, mediante metodología cuali-cuantitativa y estadístico-descriptiva. Comparar dicho comportamiento en consultas formales (investigaciones recientes) versus redes sociales. Entre los resultados se identifican teorías que explican niveles de participación en gobernanza. La mayoría de encuestados percibe insuficientes las acciones preventivas contra la delincuencia, desconfía de las estrategias estatales y observa con alarma el incremento delictivo sin medidas efectivas. Como conclusiones se reconoce que pese a una alta participación digital (68%), la desconfianza ciudadana persiste, impulsada por la insatisfacción con los servicios y la gestión gubernamental. Esto refleja una brecha crítica entre la acción institucional y las demandas sociales.
