description Se tuvo por objetivo determinar la relación entre sexismo y autoestima en estudiantes adolescentes del distrito de Villa María Del Triunfo. La investigación a nivel metodológico responde a un estudio de tipo correlacional, básico, cuyo diseño fue el no experimental, haciendo uso de un corte transversal. La muestra estuvo integrada por 208 estudiantes adolescentes varones y mujeres del distrito de Villa María del Triunfo, con edades entre 13 a 17 años. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron la Escala de Sexismo General (ESG; Romero, 2016) y Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg (EAR; Rosenberg, 1965) en su versión adaptada por Ventura et al. (2018). Los resultados señalaron que, el sexismo se relaciona de forma significativa inversa (p<.05; rho -.141*) con la autoestima, cuyo tamaño de efecto fue pequeño (r2 0.019), además, se reportó un nivel alto de sexismo en el 22.6% de participantes y baja autoestima en el 41.3%. Se pudo concluir que, a mayor presencia de sexismo, menor es la autoestima en los estudiantes adolescentes que participaron de este trabajo.
