El método empleado fue hipotético deductivo, el tipo de investigación fue básica de nivel descriptivito correlacional por lo que se aplicó un diseño no experimental de corte transversal y el enfoque fue cuantitativa. La población de estudio estuvo constituida por 60 agentes o dirigentes de las asociaciones de la municipalidad distrital de San Juan de Miraflores, 2017. Se llegó a la siguiente conclusión, donde p = 0,022 es menor que 0,05, se rechaza la Ho, es decir los valores obtenidos en la prueba de hipótesis dan evidencias suficientes para afirmar que la participación ciudadana tiene relación positiva moderada (Rho=,326*) y significativa (p valor=0,022 menor que 0.05) con el presupuesto participativo, en la Municipalidad Distrital de San Juan de Miraflores, 2017.
