El tipo de investigación se aplicó un estudio no experimental y exploratorio. La población estuvo conformada por los 532 trabajadores que conforman la Municipalidad Distrital de Nuevo Chimbote, el tamaño de la muestra se determinó a través del muestreo no probabilístico considerando los 120 trabajadores que fueron encuestados. La técnica empleada para recolectar información fue la encuesta y como instrumento se empleó el cuestionario, que fue debidamente validado a través del juicio de expertos y se determinó su confiabilidad mediante Alfa de Cronbach. En conclusión, la Municipalidad Distrital de Nuevo Chimbote respecto a la gestión de seguridad ciudadana se encuentra brindando una gestión no muy buena, la cual genera que los pobladores no se sientan muy seguros debido a que el fortalecimiento del capital humano, su desarrollo organizacional y la evaluación de procesos y de impacto se encuentran en un nivel intermedio.
