description La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre el gobierno abierto y participación ciudadana en una municipalidad distrital de Lambayeque. Para ello se utilizó una investigación del tipo básica con un diseño de investigación no experimental, de alcance correlacional y de corte trasversal; se utilizó un cuestionario con escala Likert la cual fue validada por el juicio de tres expertos y aplicó una prueba piloto para confirmar su confiabilidad con el estadístico de alfa de crombach, resultado ser confiable. Los principales resultados indicaron que la transparencia, solo un caso muestra nivel alto, indicando que generalmente es baja o media, evaluada por la disponibilidad de datos en línea, claridad de información y accesibilidad de documentos gubernamentales. La principal conclusión fue que el valor de p (sig.) de 0.000, menor que el nivel de significancia típicamente utilizado, respalda el rechazo de la hipótesis nula, demostrando una relación estadísticamente significativa entre "Gobierno Abierto" y "Participación Ciudadana", el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman (rho) de 0.620 confirma una correlación positiva y moderadamente fuerte, lo que significa que un mayor Gobierno Abierto se asocia con una mayor Participación Ciudadana.
