description En la presente investigación se planteó como objetivo determinar la relación directa significativa entre la gestión ambiental y el manejo de residuos sólidos en la Institución Educativa Mariscal Cáceres, Ayacucho, 2022. La investigación fue de tipo básico y diseño no experimental y correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 80 integrantes de la Institución Educativa Mariscal Cáceres de Ayacucho. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y el instrumento para recolectar los datos fue el cuestionario. Con el fin de determinar la validez de los instrumentos se usó el juicio de expertos y la confiabilidad fue calculada utilizando el coeficiente de Alfa de Cronbach siendo el resultado 0,708 en el cuestionario de gestión ambiental y 0,777 en el cuestionario del manejo de residuos sólidos. Los resultados permiten concluir que existe relación directa (r=0,615**; pvalor 0,000< 0,05), entre la gestión ambiental y el manejo de residuos sólidos en la Institución Educativa Mariscal Cáceres, Ayacucho, 2022.
