description El presente estudio tiene como objetivo: determinar la relación que existe entre la salud mental y el desempeño laboral en el personal de enfermería de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos y Emergencias del hospital Sergio E. Bernales, 2023. La metodología de la investigación fue: cuantitativo, correlacional, de corte transversal no experimental. La población estuvo compuesta por 70 personales de enfermería, se aplicó dos instrumentos que mide la salud mental y el desempeño laboral estos instrumentos cuenta con la validez y confiabilidad. Resultados indicaron que existe relación significativa entre la salud mental y el desempeño laboral. Conclusión: se determinó que existe relación entre la salud mental y el desempeño laboral el personal de enfermería de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos y Emergencias del hospital Sergio E. Bernales. Se ejecutó la prueba de Rho Spearman (r=0.850) por lo cual brinda una relación moderada.
