description The objective of this research work was to determine the level of cell phone addiction in 5th year high school students of a public educational institution, Iquitos district, year 2024. The research methodology is descriptive, since it seeks to specify important characteristics of any phenomenon that is analyzed. The research design was simple descriptive, non-experimental since the variables or any type of intervention were not manipulated and transversal because the data were collected in a single period of time. The population was made up of 47 students from the 5th year of high school from an Educational Institution in the District of Iquitos, with the sample being 47 students. The data analysis was carried out using the SPSS v22 statistical software, the technique used to collect data is the survey and the instrument used in data collection was the Cellular Mobile Dependency Test (TDM). The results were: 51.1% are at a moderate level, 44.7% are at a low level and only 4.3% have a high level of cell phone addiction. It is concluded: the students do have cell phone addiction. At this level, it is difficult for them to set limits on the use of the cell phone; their relatives frequently scold them for the continuous use of the cell phone by spending excessive time using it. 44.7% are at a low level, not presenting any type of problems using the cell phone reasonably and only 4.3% have a high level of cell phone addiction, indicating that they have presented academic, family, personal and social problems due to impulsive use. of the cell phone.
