Complicaciones maternas y perinatales en gestantes con infección de tracto urinario atendidas en el hospital regional de Loreto, 2022

Objective Determine maternal and perinatal complications in pregnant women with Urinary Tract Infection treated at the Loreto Regional Hospital, 2022. Methodology The research was quantitative, with a descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective design; the sample of 271 pregnant women with urinary tract infection and simple random probabilistic sampling. Results 77.9% of pregnant women were between 20 and 34 years old, 83.0% cohabited, 59.0% were from urban origin and 72.7% had secondary education; likewise, in the obstetric characteristics; 52.0% were multiparous; The main maternal complications were; premature rupture of membranes (5.2%), premature birth (4.4%), preeclampsia (3.7%) and sepsis (1.5%); perinatal complications; prematurity (11.4%), low birth weight (5.5%), neonatal sepsis (3.0%) and jaundice (2.2%). Conclusion Premature rupture of membranes (p=0.001), Preeclampsia (p=0.001) and Neonatal Sepsis (p=0.045) had a significant relationship with urinary tract infection in pregnant women.
