El tipo de investigación es descriptivo y el diseño de la investigación fue no experimental de tipo transaccional descriptivo, porque no se manipulo la variable en el estudio, y se recogió la información en el mismo lugar en un solo tiempo. La población estuvo conformada por los alumnos del 5to de secundaria de la Institución Educativa “Mariscal Andrés Avelino Cáceres” de Iquitos – 2014, que fueron de 120 alumnos y muestra 30 alumnos . La técnica que se empleó para reelección de datos fue la encuesta y el instrumento fue el cuestionario. Después de aplicar el análisis descriptivo, se obtuvo como resultado principal la motivación en alumnos de 5to de Secundaria de la Institución Educativa “Mariscal Andrés Avelino Cáceres” de Iquitos - 2014, la misma fue que el 57% de ellos tienen motivación y el 43% no tienen motivación.
