El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la educación ambiental y la participación ciudadana, en el distrito de Veintiséis de Octubre, provincia de Piura. La muestra se compone de 383 personas que fueron encuestadas. Los resultados encontrados fueron diversos problemas ambientales: en primer lugar los residuos sólidos, en segundo lugar aguas residuales, tercer lugar emisiones atmosféricas y cuarto lugar el ruido, 189 de las personas tienen conocimiento de temas ambientales, 169 personas consideran que la municipalidad no promueve acciones con la comunidad para rescate de áreas verdes, 117 no conocen grupos ambientales en su distrito y consideran que la municipalidad poco participa en la formación de conocimientos a los ciudadanos sobre temas ambientales, 145 personas considera que la municipalidad organiza manera regular a población para separar los residuos o el reciclaje, 179 considera que la municipalidad no propicia conversatorios sobre conservación de agua o ahorro de energía, 201 personas cree que las instituciones privadas y públicas participan poco en temas ambientales y en temas de educación 219 personas creen que los colegios inculquen a los niños en temas ambientales siendo uno de los temas mayormente en clases de ciencia tecnología y ambiente. Y mediante entrevistas a autoridades se concluyó que en el distrito Veintiséis de Octubre, el 38 % son asentamientos humanos, no cuentan con una adecuada recolección de residuos sólidos y no reciben tratamiento, el servicio de agua potable no es las 24 horas y no abarca a todo el distrito al igual que el alcantarillado. La economía se basa en el comercio con un 60.47 %. |
