Por este motivo, es importante realizar estudios empíricos en los que se puedan hallar resultados particulares. En esta investigación se buscó determinar como la disminución de la pobreza es influenciada por los Activos en la macrorregión centro del Perú en el periodo 2010-2018 para una muestra de 95 056 jefes de hogar. Se usó un diseño no experimental aplicando un modelo econométrico de regresión logística bajo el enfoque de activos. En comparación con lo esperado se encontró que la educación, el número de integrantes por vivienda y la calidad del trabajo son poco significativas a pesar de que teóricamente son esperados, y se encontró que la disposición al agua potable, servicio higiénico, energía, telefonía y la posesión de título de propiedad del hogar son variables significativas que disminuyen la probabilidad que el hogar se encuentre en la pobreza. Identificando que en la macrorregión centro del Perú los activos que influyen realmente al nivel de pobreza son los activos físicos públicos e institucionales.
