La metodología del estudio fue de tipo básica, nivel descriptivo, con diseño no experimental, retrospectivo, transversal, y observacional con una muestra de 30 cirujanos dentistas que trabajan de manera privada en el distrito de Huacho. Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación fueron; en cuanto a variable síndrome de burnout se obtiene que el 94 % (47) tiene nivel medio, y 6 % (3) nivel alto. Los resultados de las frecuencias de la dimensión agotamiento emocional en los cirujanos dentistas del sector privado del distrito de Huacho. Se obtiene que el 44 % (22) presenta agotamiento emocional a nivel medio; el 34 % (17) presentan nivel alto y el 22 % (11) nivel bajo. Las frecuencias de la dimensión despersonalización en los cirujanos dentistas del sector privado del distrito de Huacho. Se obtiene que el 74 % (37) presenta despersonalización a nivel bajo; el 14 % (7) presentan nivel medio y el 12 % (6) nivel alto. Los resultados de las frecuencias de la dimensión realización personal en los cirujanos dentistas del sector privado del distrito de Huacho. Se obtiene que el 46 % (23) nivel bajo en la realización personal; el 40 % (20) presentan nivel medio y el 14 % (7) nivel alto. El nivel de síndrome de burnout en los cirujanos dentistas del distrito de Huacho, fue de nivel medio.
