description La investigación tuvo como objetivo, demostrar que con los criterios de un buen diseño hidráulico se podrá implementar la red de agua potable para el asentamiento humano Tierra prometida – Ica. Los métodos empleados fueron inductivo, deductivo y analítico; investigación tipo descriptivo, correlacional, observacional y de corte transversal. La muestra se seleccionó de manera aleatoria al azar a 30 familias que habitan en el asentamiento humano Tierra prometida y a 10 especialistas del tema. Las hipótesis fueron comprobadas mediante el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson los mismos que dio como resultados valores que confirman las hipótesis de la investigación. Se concluye que actualmente este Asentamiento Humano, no cuenta con un sistema de agua potable funcionando, por lo que se determinó que diagnosticando las necesidades de la población y las características el suelo se podrá diseñar el sistema de redes de agua potable que cumpla con los requerimientos y expectativas para el beneficio de los pobladores del asentamiento humano Tierra Prometida.
