PREVALENCIA DE CARIES DENTAL EN NIÑOS DE LA CLÍNICA ESTOMATOLÓGICA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD SEÑOR DE SIPÁN

RESUMEN El presente proyecto tiene como objetivo determinar la prevalencia de caries dental en niños de 6 a 8 años de la Clínica Estomatológica de la Universidad Señor de Sipán. Fueron examinados un total de 50 niños donde se utilizó un odontograma recomendado por el Ministerio de Salud del Perú. A través del estudio realizado se puede constatar que el 24% de los niños en estudio no tiene prevalencia de caries dental, mientras que el 76% de los niños tiene prevalencia. Pudimos concluir que a través del estudio realizado se puede constatar que más de la mitad de los niños que asiste a la clínica de los niños está afectado de caries dental.Palabras claves: Prevalencia, caries dental, niño. (Fuente: DeCS BIREME) ABSTRACTThe objective of this project is to determine the prevalence of dental caries in children from 6 to 8 years of age at the Stomatological Clinic of the Señor de Sipán University. A total of 50 children were examined where an odontogram recommended by the Ministry of Health of Peru was used. Through the study carried out, it can be seen that 24% of the children in the study do not have a prevalence of dental caries, while 76% of children have a prevalence. We were able to conclude that through the study conducted it can be verified that more than half of the children who attended the children's clinic are affected by dental caries.Key words: Prevalence, dental caries, child.
