The study is of correlational type and the research design is non-experimental, the sample for the study was probabilistic. From the study it was obtained that 70% of Authorities, Employees and Workers perceive the Environmental Management of the Municipality of Espinar is deficient to very deficient, 52.5% states that planning is deficient, 85.0% perceive that management is deficient similar results are Observe for organization and control; While the variable sustainable development in 65% is deficient, this is because economic growth, ecological balance and social progress in more than 50% is inadequate. In the study of the Chi - square test at 95%, we conclude that there is a significant and direct relationship between Environmental Management and Sustainable Development in the Provincial Municipality of Espinar.
