description OBJETIVO: Determinar el valor de la queratometría pre y post tratamiento del queratocono con anillos intraestromales en Lima 2015. METODO: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, transversal con recolección retrospectiva. La queratometría fue determinada mediante la topografía corneal. Se estudiaron variables como la queratometría preoperatorio y postoperatorio así como la edad, sexo y el astigmatismo corneal. RESULTADOS: El valor de la queratometría total media fue 50.35 ± 5.65 dioptrías en el preoperatorio y de 45.61 ± 4.22 dioptrías en el postoperatorio. El 57,9% del total de pacientes con queratocono, fueron jóvenes con edad media de 22.32 años. El estudio tuvo un 73.7% de pacientes del sexo masculino con queratocono. El astigmatismo corneal fue de 6.95 dioptrías en el preoperatorio y 3.47 dioptrías en el postoperatorio. CONCLUSIONES: La queratometría de los pacientes con queratocono disminuyo luego del tratamiento con anillos intraestromales.
