Es importante evaluar las condiciones morfológicas del paciente nos garanticen la efectividad del tratamiento. La máscara facial es el aparato que muestra mejores resultados a corto plazo, para el tratamiento de maloclusión Clase III por retrusión maxilar, con resultados estables El uso de dispositivos como la máscara de protracción asociada a un disyuntor maxilar puede corregir o reducir la desarmonía esquelética evitando así un tratamiento quirúrgico posterior.
