Sumario:Based on the theory of basic psychological needs (this intervention program was designed with a preventive approach that aimed to strengthen the autonomy, competence and relatedness in children aged 8 10 years of a psychological center in Metropolitan Lima. Through 10 work sessions divided into three modules according to the three needs mentioned above with activities that encourage motivation, freedom of choice, learning strategies to face the differ ent challenges of the environment and the recognition of a support group from which they feel part. A baseline evaluation and a process evaluation were carried out with the Satisfaction and Frustration Questionnaire of the basic psychological needs in the version adapted for children. When comparing the scores obtained before and after carrying out three program sessions, statistically significant difference was found. However, this difference could n’t be explained by the intervention program, because this has n’t been completed.
